Leader to Leader
A message from Shelly Johns, women's/senior adult associate

As the Women’s Ministry and Senior Adult Associate, my goal is to encourage, equip and support leaders in these areas to effectively reach, disciple and multiply healthy (spiritual, mental, physical and emotional) Christian leaders in their churches.

It is my privilege to work within these two groups of leaders, as both are important and influential groups in the life of every church. For more information on senior adult ministry, click here.

The 2008 Senior Living Celebrations are slated for Monday, April 21, Tuesday, April 22, and Thursday, April 24. Click here for details and registration information.

HeartCall is an excellent evangelistic tool.  This four-week study teaches women how to pray, to watch for opportunities to share the Gospel, and to make sure their walk and talk are in line with God's Word. Click here for details!

Many churches are using Evangelistic Block Parties to penetrate their communities with the Gospel. An EBP involves identifying a neighborhood and training witnesses to share the gospel. Although food and entertainment are included, the main point is evangelism. Ladies, this is a great opportunity for you to get outside the walls and into your communities. Start planning one today! The cost is just $3.95 per book, plus shipping. You can order this book from LifeWay online or by calling (800) 448-8032. The ISBN number for the English version is: 0840087144; for the Spanish version it is: 0840069790.

Resources
We have a library of different resources that can be checked-out. Click here to see what may be available.

Reach people where they are! You can start a Bible study in your workplace or neighborhood with the HeartCall:  Freedom From Fear.  This six-week course is designed for an hour a week and helps participants understand God's plan for them through simple,"non-churchy" language.  Leader tips are included.  For more information, check out NAMB's HeartCall page.

Did you know that Southern Baptist Theological Seminary offers programs in women's ministry? For details, contact SBTS.

Networking
If your church is sponsoring a Christian event, targeting women, please let us know. An "event" can be a conference, a concert, a mission trip that will allow other churches to participate, a block party, etc. Although we reserve full editorial rights, we will do our best to include your event. Thanks for helping us stay connected to God and others!

Healthy Lifestyles
We can honor God not only by how we live (walk and talk) but how we eat!  Taking care of our bodies should be one of our main priorities.  Take a look at LifeWay's Christian wellness plan, Fit 4. It's for the "heart, soul, mind and strength!"
