 Karl, director of the Family Ministries Department, and his wife Susan are available to lead marriage retreats. As Leadership Development Team office Director, Karl focuses on helping church leaders develop and implement marriage enrichment, senior adult and single adult ministries. He desires that these ministries encourage personal and spiritual growth in the participants, enhance godly relationships between people and involve each person in Kingdom ministry. He leads equipping and enrichment workshops in these ministry areas for churches and associations.
 The Bartleys have been married for thirty-five years and have developed a strong interest in helping other couples grow in their marriages. They believe that as the family goes, so goes the church. They believe that building strong marriages is foundation to building strong churches. The Bartleys have two children, both of whom are married. They are active leaders at First Baptist Church in Richmond. They teach a Sunday school class for Nearly and Newlywed Couples.

 Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, where they founded Ransom & Paula ministries (RPMin), Ransom and Paula have been leading marriage retreats and seminars across the country for local churches, Baptist Associations, Baptist State Conventions and for LifeWay Christian Resource’s Fall Festival of Marriage since 1989. In 1992, they developed the “Living the Intentional Marriage” seminar which covers topics such as parenting, conflict resolution, communication, intimacy, and doing ministry as a couple. In 2000, Ransom and Paula had the opportunity to work with the Southern Baptist Convention Missionaries in the West African Region. Ransom has served as Counseling Pastor, Counselor in private practice and is currently pastor of Iva Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY. Paula teaches at Bowling Green Christian Academy and provides financial planning for couples and families. They have two children.

 Churck and Suzanne are a ministry couple with three grown sons. This leader couple has a vision of helping couples grow in their relationships with each other and the Lord Jesus Christ. Chuck serves as pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. Suzanne is a teacher at Elizabethtown Community College.

 David and Penny are marriage enrichment specialists who have been involved in the area of marriage/family ministry for over twenty years.
In addition, David and Penny have a Marriage Education and Resource Center (MERCY) in LaGrange, KY where they offer free monthly marriage workshops, and work with churches to help develop marriage ministries. They offer training in pre-marital education, using the tool FOCCUS, to lay mentor couples and church staff as well as helping churches establish small in-home marriage groups called “Coupletime;” they also offer help in crisis mentoring, etc. They have a web-site that serves as a clearinghouse for marriage events in the area (www.kymrc.com).

 The Kinmans have been married forty years and have three adult married children and five grandchildren. Marlene teaches piano and has written curriculum for the Baptist Sunday School Board (now LifeWay). Steve retired from Delta Air Lines after thirty-five years. They are active members of Sherman Baptist Church where Steve is deacon chairman, Marlene is pianist, and together they lead a marriage enrichment Sunday School class. This is a couple who have a heart for families and who see a need for greater commitment in marriage. They lead the Family Ministry Team for the Crittenden Baptist Association.

 Rick and Kathy Roepke have been married for over 15 years and have two children, Emily and Erik. Min. in counseling degrees and are active members of their church. Peggy has worked for seventeen years with the Kentucky Baptist Convention in the area of Leadership Development. Her responsibilities include resource facilitation for churches and ministers, confliction resolution in churches, retreat and conferencing. Peggy earned her B.A. from the University of Louisville in the area of Educational Training and Development. Bob retired as a Training Consultant with Governmental Services Center, State of Kentucky. He now sells and teaches the Dale Carnegie courses. Peggy and Bob have been married for twenty-seven years and have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. They are members of First Baptist Church in Shelbyville.

Valerie met Andy when a college freshman in Alabama. They have now been happily married for over seventeen years and made Louisville their home. During their journey together, Valerie has followed her natural gifts and passion to complete her M.Div and D.Min degrees in counseling. Andy has served in management positions in business, retail, and for the last eight years in an educational institution. Andy is currently working on his MBA at the University of Louisville. At present, Valerie ministers as a Christian Counselor with Hardy Associates in Louisville, while Andy serves as Director of the Hotel and Conference Center and other Auxiliary Services at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dow and Mary Buford are members of the Canaan Christian Church in Louisville, KY. They have been married for twenty five years and have two daughters, ages 24 and 16. They serve as associate ministers at Canaan and have served as co-leaders of the Marriage Enrichment Ministry.
