High Impact Churches
The New Work and Associational Missions Department exists to assist associations and churches in identifying areas of the state that are highly unchurched and the starting of new churches with the potential of reaching an average attendance of 250 members within five years. Together, we:
  • Assist associations and churches in partnering with church planters that meet High Impact Church qualifications
  • Work with High Impact Advisory Team to process High Impact Church applications
  • Evaluate High Impact Church planting plans and planters
  • Resource High Impact Church starts in partnership with associations and churches
  • Supervise High Impact Church planters during the planting process
High Impact Church Guidelines/Church and Planter Expectations
1. High Impact Churches are to be sponsored by a strong KBC church and should have one or more partnering entities (churches, associations, etc.)

2. High Impact Churches are to have a potential of 250 in average worship attendance in five years; a doctrinal statement in keeping with the KBC Baptist Faith and Message Report adopted in November 2001; committed to ongoing mission support through the local association and Cooperative Program; be committed to sponsor a new church within five years; and have a written strategic plan of mission, organization, vision, and objectives.

3. Prospective pastor must have demonstrated he can grow a ministry, develop resources, have participated in basic training, have attained a master's degree in theology or have equivalent training and experience, and that he is capable of leading a church to grow to 250 in average worship attendance in five years.
