General Information
The Kentucky Baptist Convention and Oneida Baptist Institute invite you to join other pastors, DOMs and church laymen involved in Eastern Kentucky ministry for the 60th Annual Mountain Missions Conference.

Based on the title from Dr. Lewis Drummond’s book, The Awakening Must Come, this two-day leadership conference is designed to encourage you with ministry helps, inspiring insights, worship, fellowship and fun!

Featuring:
  • Plenary sessions with Dr. Roy Fish, Distinguished Professor of Evangelism Emeritus, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
  • Bible study sessions with Dr. Robert Morrison, Little Bethel Association DOM
  • Special music by The Pearls, from Pearl City, Missouri
  • Worship led by Mike James, KBC Strategist for Eastern Kentucky
  • Special retirement reception for David Aker, KBC Mountain Missions Director

Featured Speaker
Dr. Fish is the Distinguished Professor of Evangelism Emeritus at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he taught from 1956-2006. He served as Interim President of the North American Mission Board from June 2006 to May 2007. Dr. Fish has served as interim pastor of over 50 churches, has written several books, and has contributed to other books and numerous articles for periodicals. He also assisted in the writing of Continuous Witness Training (CWT).

Special Honoree
David Aker is a resident of Somerset and has served as the KBC Mountain Missions Director since 1997. David and his wife Wanda have two children and two grandchildren. David is a graduate of Cumberland College (where he played baseball) and Luther Rice Seminary. Previously, he served as pastor of four churches in Kentucky, as well as DOM of Pulaski Association. David is retiring from the Kentucky Baptist Convention on July 31, 2008.

Registration
There is no cost to attend this conference, but advanced registration is required. Conference lodging and meals are provided free of charge through the KBC and Oneida Bible Institute.
